Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the ME16 engine, Teimouri said that with the new line launched, 600 engines will be added to the daily production.
He added that 92% of the ME16 engine has been made domestically.
This line is the most modern engine production line in Iran, he said, adding that 60% of the line is automated.
Referring to the nine new Iranian car model to be unveiled in the year to late March, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Reza Fatemi Amin said that Sandro is now in the stage of ordering parts and standard approval.
Negotiations have also been made for opening one production line in Russia.
According to SAIPA, Sandro will enter the Russian market with the name "Cadila", he noted.
